| The BURN,
as it is known, is a remembrance to all who have seen, heard, smelt, and
felt it. The scene is one similar to a college pep rally where your
team has won the National Championship. People everywhere milling
about. Searching for a known spot or friend to land on. Just let
go and let the moment take you where you want to go! The drum beats
pulse into you. It began days ago - the rhythmic beat ever present
in BRC has become a part of you, it has flooded your ears and burst into
your brain. The beat is your pulse. The smell is in the air.
Pre-burn activities the night before and prior to THE
BURN still linger in your nose. An awesome sight it is
to see structures as large as your own house consumed in totality in a
matter of minutes. Sparks emanate from a major burn like pixies,
wafting higher, then descending on the crowd - oblivious - primordial invading
of the heart and soul of BURN
participants. This is your first taste of the toxin known as BURN.
The heat is at first welcomed as on any chilled night spent on the Black
Rock Desert. As the Man is given up, so are you, you remember your
childhood, friends, special moments, and especially your family.
You want all of them to be with you here now and share in the unity the
BURN
creates. |

| The BMLoveMilitia
participation at the BURN was remembered
by few, but was actually captured on film. Look closely at the sequence
of photos presented here. Unknowingly the BMLM participants reveled in
the BURN as did 30,000 others. Above hovered, an alien mother ship which
descended over the crowd. Caught on the film are actual images of
the alien LOVE ray engulfing the crowd. |
